“Campus Star 2024” Reality Show Unveils Top 20 Finalists

After a fierce and intense audition process, the top 20 finalists—handsome men and beautiful women ready to become the next stars in the entertainment industry—have been revealed. Each contestant brought their best to the table, showcasing their star quality and winning over the judges, a panel of top-tier experts with extensive experience in the entertainment industry. The judging panel was led by Khun Thanya Wachirabunjong, Chief Content Officer and TV Director at MONO29, Khun Yoon-Yingyot Panya, Deputy Chief Content Officer at Mono Next PCL, Cindy Sirinya Bishop, the Head Master, Poj Arnon, renowned film director, Acting Coach Lee Jern, and acclaimed actors BigM-Krittarit Butprom and Nina-Nitchanart Prommart.

These 20 finalists will enter a house to undergo rigorous training in singing, dancing, and acting, while also preparing to become professional actors. Their training will be led by renowned actress Pock-Piyathida Mittiraroch and famous singer Pure The Voice. All of this will be captured in a fun and engaging 7-episode reality show format, showcasing their journey and life together through various challenges. You can catch “Be a Shining Star with Campus Star 2024” every Saturday from 2:00 to 3:00 PM on MONO29, with the first episode airing on Saturday, October 26, 2024.

Ms.Nanthaphan Sangchai, Deputy Director of MONO29 Television Station, led a team of employees from Mono Next to participate in the “Kayaking for Canal Conservation” activity during the “Charming Near Bangkok” event. The event aimed to promote eco-tourism at Khlong Phrayapimon and was a collaboration between the provinces of Nonthaburi and Nakhon Pathom. The initiative focused on preserving local culture, community lifestyles, and the environment along the banks of Khlong Phrayapimon.

 

Under the theme “Preserve Khlong Phrayapimon: Sustainable Waterway Tourism,” the event featured notable participants, including Ms. Panisara Kanchanachitra, Deputy Governor of Nonthaburi Province, and Mr. Samrit Duangson, Mayor of Sai Noi Subdistrict. The event saw enthusiastic participation from the general public, as well as students, at Wat Sai Yai Pier on Khlong Phrayapimon, Nonthaburi Province, on September 21, 2024.

“NBTC and TV Industry Unite to Shape the Future of ‘Digital TV’

The Digital Television Association (Thailand) in collaboration with the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) and terrestrial digital TV stations, both business and public service, made history by organizing a significant seminar titled “1 Decade of Digital TV: Beyond the Next Step” on August 28, 2024, at BITEC Bangna. The event brought together over 20 key figures in the television and content industry to share insights and chart the future course of Thailand’s digital TV landscape, particularly in light of the upcoming license expirations in 2029.

Presiding over the event was Professor Emeritus Dr. Sarana Boonbaichaiyapruck, Chairman of the NBTC, who delivered the opening address. The seminar emphasized the role of digital TV as the nation’s primary media platform while also exploring opportunities to harness the Soft Power potential of Thai content on the global stage.

At the event, Ms.Nanthaphan Sangchai, Assistant Director of Mono29 TV, represented station executives and presented plaques of appreciation to the seminar speakers. Additionally, Mono29 news anchor “Bank-PobEk Pornpongmetta” served as the event’s host.

Closing out the lively Songkran festivities, MONO29, in collaboration with the Khon Kaen Municipality, organized the grand “MONO29 KHONKAEN SONGKRAN WET&FUN 2024” event. This Songkran celebration brought together a plethora of artists to ignite the fun over three full days. This year, it was evident that the public enthusiastically participated in the water festivities, especially at the MONO29 stage on Khao Niew Road in Khon Kaen Province (City Gate Zone, Friendship Road side). Crowds of people joyfully splashed water together, filling every corner of Khao Niew Road.

 

 

The event featured friendly human wave activities, with many exciting prizes up for grabs, including 1 All New Mitsubishi Triton Mega Cab and 2 Yamaha Finn motorcycles. The lucky winners of the All New Mitsubishi Triton Mega Cab were Mr. Pratathorn Phichatchol and the Yamaha Finn motorcycles went to Mr. Apisit Pasawata and Mr. Sompong Jai-on, amidst the festive atmosphere of the Thai New Year celebration.

The Dok Koon Sang Kaen Festival will take place at Bung Kaen Nakhon and Sticky Rice Road, annually on March 27th, 2024, under the theme ‘Spreading the Essence of Khon Kaen. In addition to the cultural revival activities, MONO29 channel is orchestrating an extravagant stage with the ‘MONO29 KHON KAEN SONGKRAN Wet & Fun 2024‘ free concert, featuring a plethora of artists such as Pop Pongkool, Zani, Tono, Peck Palitchoke, Pexky Sretunya, Ble Patumrach, MONO ORIGINAL Big M, Tungpang, Nike, Nina, P-Saderd, Engfa, and Show Team Academy. This event will be held at Sticky Rice Road, Friendship Gate Zone, with exciting prizes including cars and motorcycles up for grabs. from April 13th to 15th, 2024.

It’s a moment of pride for media professionals as the news team of MONO29 TV channel clinches the Scoop News Award in the Analytical News Article category (“Puey Ungphakorn Article Award”) for the year 2023 from the Thai Journalists Association and the Bank of Thailand (BOT) for the second consecutive year.

The award-winning piece highlights the strategies to combat “horse account” syndicates and “cutter gangs,” focusing on “online crime” or “cyber threats.” These diverse fraudulent schemes, employed unethically, have inflicted significant damage on the lives and assets of the public, totaling approximately THB 50,870 million. Additionally, it presents approaches to tackle cyber threats by various organizations, along with channels for complaints and notifications, aiming to raise public awareness and understanding about such scams.

The event received recognition from Mr. Bunyat Khamnunawat, advisor to the management team of CP All Public Company Limited, who presented the prestigious award to the economic news team of MONO29 during the annual convention held at Centara Grand Central Plaza Ladprao Hotel on February 29, 2024.

On December 1, 2023, the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security together with the Council of Disabilities Thailand jointly organized the fair “International Disabled Persons Day 2023” and presented honorary awards to organizations that pursue inclusivity for visually impaired persons. In this spectacular moment, Mono29 was nominated to receive the award “Best Creative Mass Media for Disabilities 2023”, and Mr.Dhirabudh Premmaprayoonwongsa, Editor-in-Chief, was a receiver. The event took place at the Government Complex, Chaeng Wattana Road.

MONO29 Online News won the Outstanding Award in the Online News category presented in the form of an outstanding video clip news at the “Digital News Excellence Awards 2023” for their work on the story “Na Nah Thong (The Black Magic): Faithful or Blind Respect”. This achievement was recognized from a pool of 22 entries in the competition. The first runner-up in the competition was “Diving with Disabilities” from the Bangkok Post news agency.

The Digital News Excellence Awards 2023 was organized by the Society for Online News Providers Association (SONP) to promote high-quality digital news production, encourage online media, and recognize the efforts of digital journalists. The competition had a total of 163 entries across six news categories. The awards ceremony took place on November 30, 2023, at the Morakot Room, 3rd floor, The Emerald Hotel, Bangkok.

The Economic Reporters Association together with the Bank of Thailand held the analytical articles contest (Sharpen Your Idea) of the year 2022, “Puey Ungphakorn Awards”. This year, Puey Ungphakorn Awards in the category of television awards go to MONO29 Broadcasting Station, e.g., an “Outstanding Award” from the article “Free Interest, Free Charges,  Free Student Loan”, and   the prestigious “Winner Award” from the article “High Electricity Price – Government’s Failure or Gas Shortage?”, written by Mr.Dhirabudh Premmaprayoonwongsa, Editor-in-Chief – MONO29 News Production, Ms.Wachiraphorn Nasuan, News Editor – MONO29 Economic News, and Mr.Kuan Mocha, Assistant Executive Editor – MONO29 Economic News.

At the event, we were honored to receive these two prestigious awards presented by Ms.Chayawadee Chai-Anant, Assistant Governor Corporate Relations Group of the Bank of Thailand. These two distinguished achievements were the first time in almost two decades in the television industry to win Expert Committee over to get these honorable awards in the 2022-2023 Annual General Meeting at Centara Grand at Central Plaza Ladprao Bangkok.
